Typically a plan is engineered for a specific location with beams and other components of the structure being sized based on site specific factors, such as amount of snow, wind speed and expected seismic events.

Depending on the location and the complexity of the building it may be desirable or required by the building official to have the plans reviewed and stamped by a professional engineer. After purchasing a plan you can obtain your own engineer or contact us and we can get a quote for engineering from our network of engineers.
